UniFirst Corp Reports Rise In Q2 Earnings

UniFirst Corp (UNF) revealed earnings for its second quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $28.27 million, or $1.38 per share. This was up from $22.52 million, or $1.10 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.13 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 31.3% to $419.26 million. This was up from $319.43 million last year.
