HB Fuller Co Q1 Earnings Retreat

HB Fuller Co (FUL) released a profit for first quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its earnings came in at $18.53 million, or $0.35 per share. This was lower than $24.89 million, or $0.48 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.34 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 41.7% to $713.08 million. This was up from $503.32 million last year.
