ASOS Plc H1 Pretax Profit Rises; Retail Sales Up 27% - Quick Facts

ASOS plc (ASOMY.PK,ASOMF.PK,ASC.L) reported profit before tax of 29.9 million pounds for the six months to 28 February 2018, up 10% compared to last year. Profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent company increased to 24.5 million pounds from 21.9 million pounds. Earnings per share increased by 11% to 29.2 pence.

First-half Group revenues were 1.16 billion pounds compared to 911.5 million pounds, previous year. The Group generated retail sales growth of 27% during the period, with UK growth of 22% and strong international growth of 31% (28% constant currency). International retail sales accounted for 63% of total retail sales.

Looking forward, the Group said its current year and medium term sales and EBIT margin guidance remain unchanged.
