Hormel Foods Climbs Off Worst Levels But Remains Negative

After coming under pressure early in the session, shares of Hormel Foods (HRL) have climbed off their worst levels of the day but remain negative in late-day trading on Thursday. Hormel is currently down by 1.3 percent.

The early decline by Hormel came after the food company reported fiscal second quarter results that came in slightly below expectations.

Fast-food giant McDonald's said it will be raising hourly wages for more than 36,500 hardworking employees at McDonald's-owned restaurants by an average of 10 percent to make it among the industry-leading pay and benefits package.
