Lincoln Electric Q2 adjusted earnings Inline With Estimates

Lincoln Electric (LECO) announced earnings for its second quarter that rose from last year.

The company's profit came in at $68.86 million, or $1.04 per share. This compares with $61.35 million, or $0.92 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Excluding items, Lincoln Electric reported adjusted earnings of $80.41 million or $1.22 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.22 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 26.0% to $790.05 million from $626.86 million last year.
