Lear Corporation Q2 adjusted earnings Miss Estimates

Lear Corporation (LEA) announced a profit for its second quarter that climbed from the same period last year.

The company's earnings totaled $331.4 million, or $4.83 per share. This compares with $311.9 million, or $4.49 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Excluding items, Lear Corporation reported adjusted earnings of $330.2 million or $4.95 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $4.99 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 9.0% to $5.58 billion from $5.12 billion last year.
