Wale has dropped a new video for "Black Bonnie," his Jacquees-assisted single that's taken off of his March EP It's Complicated.

The new clip, directed by Yasha Gruben, features Wale and Ashley Blaine Featherson (Joelle Brooks from Netflix's Dear White People) as a modern day Bonnie & Clyde. The video opens in Africa with the couple being waited on like royalty, before being transported to a racially and politically charged 1970's time period, before they head to the 90's. A montage then recaps the historical journey, before flashing forward to the present. Wale approaches Featherson and says that she looks familiar. "Clyde," he introduces himself. "Bonnie," she replies.

Wale is expected to release his sixth full-length album on MMG/Warner Bros. Records sometime later this year.
