Chris Stapleton paid tribute to the late Aretha Franklin with a performance of her track "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" during his show at the Mattress Firm Amphitheater in Chula Vista, California. "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" was originally recorded by Franklin in 1967.

"We lost a legend today. In my opinion, the greatest singer that ever lived," Stapleton told the crowd before he began the song. "We'll do our best to make a tribute to her tonight."

Franklin was 76 at the time of her death and was reported to be "gravely ill" earlier in the week, with reports stating that she was suffering from pancreatic cancer at the time of her death.

Willie Nelson also recorded his own version of the song and included it on his 1982 release Always on My Mind.
