Japan Supermarket Sales Increase In July

Japan's supermarket sales increased in July, preliminary data from the Chain Store Association showed Tuesday.

Supermarket sales, after store adjustment, increased 1.5 percent on year in July. Before adjustment, sales grew 2.3 percent.

On a monthly basis, supermarket sales advanced 7.8 percent in July.
