DAX Extends Gains As Trade War Concerns Ease

German stocks eked out modest gains on Friday to extend gains from the previous session as hopes for another round of U.S.-China trade talks and easing concerns over Turkey and Argentina helped improve investor appetite for risk.

The benchmark DAX was up 38 points or 0.32 percent at 12,093 in opening deals after rising 0.2 percent in the previous session.

Chipmaker Infineon Technologies advanced 1.5 percent after Apple led a rebound in technology shares on Wall Street overnight.

Automakers were broadly higher as trade war concerns eased. BMW edged up 0.2 percent, Daimler rose 0.6 percent and Volkswagen added half a percent.
