ACEA Biosciences To Be Acquired By Agilent - Quick Facts

ACEA Biosciences announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to join Agilent Technologies, Inc. (A). ACEA Biosciences is a company known for developing products, which are used in academia, as well as the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. ACEA's xCELLigence impedance-based, label-free, real-time cell analysis instruments and NovoCyte flow cytometers are used in pre-clinical drug discovery and development, toxicology, safety pharmacology, and basic academic research.

"The analytical instruments, systems, and software developed by ACEA dovetail perfectly with the strategic vision and mission of Agilent Technologies. Agilent also has a number of complementary technologies, used in immuno-oncology and drug discovery, which should provide tremendous synergies," said Xiao Xu, CEO of ACEA.
