EasyJet September Passengers Climb; Load Factor Edges Down

Low-cost airline easyJet Plc (ESYJY.PK,EZJ.L) reported Thursday that passengers, or the number of earned seats flown, for the month of September 2018 were up 14.2 percent to 8.82 million from 7.72 million last year. The passenger statistics include Tegel operations, the company said.

Load Factor for the month was 92.8 percent, down 0.8 percentage point from 93.6 percent last year.

The company noted that non Tegel passenger growth is in line with the figures provided in pre-close statement released on September 28, with load factors for September 2018 being broadly flat compared to September 2017.

For the rolling 12 months, passengers were up 10.2 percent to 88.45 million. Load Factor was 92.9 percent, up 0.3 percentage points from last year.
