Metallica recently performed their track "Phantom Lord" live for the first time in more than 5 years.

Fans at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, were surprised because the band has not played the song since the Orion Music + More festival in 2013.

Metallica will resume their tour in support of their album Hardwired... To Self-Destruct for the next North American leg in late November.

The American metal rock band performed "Phantom Lord" 155 times over the course of their 37-year career.

The song, from the album Kill 'Em All, was absent from Metallica's live set list until their October 25 show.

It was originally played by Metallica on June 26, 1982, at The Concert Factory in Costa Mesa, CA.
