Thai Manufacturing Sector Falls Into Contraction - Nikkei

The manufacturing sector in Thailand turned to contraction in October, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Thursday with a manufacturing PMI score of 48.9.

That's down from 50.0 in September, and it falls beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

Individually, there were appreciable declines in both output and new orders - while export sales also tumbled.

Also, firms cut their charges despite higher input costs.
