Rapper Young Thug has been released from DeKalb County Jail after spending six days in custody for failing a court-mandated drug test.
According to local news station 11Alive, Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams has ruled that Thug can return home. However, he is required to take random drug tests at least twice a week, undergo substance abuse counseling, and check with his probation officer.
"Over the last six days, I understood this is real life," said Thug in court. "I have two sons, ages 10 and 11. I don't want them to think that going to jail - even if you can get out right aways—cool. I want to grow, and I have grown. I've made mistakes and I've been penalized for them. I'm sorry, and won't disobey again."
Young Thug was sent back to prison last week, after he failed a drug test, which in turn violated his probation.
