Accenture To Buy Orbium; Terms Undisclosed

Accenture (ACN) said that it has agreed to acquire Orbium, a management consultancy and technology services provider to the financial services industry, headquartered in Switzerland. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.

Founded in 2004, Orbium has more than 500 employees and offices in more than a dozen cities across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the United States. Its clients include global tier-one banks, premium wealth managers and private banks.

Amazon Inc. is leading a new $575 million investment in British food delivery company Deliveroo, intensifying the e-commerce giant's competition with rival Uber and its Uber Eats service.
