Legendary session guitarist Reggie Young passed away last Thursday at his home in Leipers Fork, Tennessee, at the age of 82.

His most notable contributions includes guitar parts on Presley's "Suspicious Minds" and "In the Ghetto," Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man," and the iconic intro to Dobie Gray's "Drift Away."

Young released his first solo album Forever Young last year, and Ace Records is set to release a box set of his work titled Reggie Young: Session Guitar Star on January 25.
