South Korea Producer Price Inflation Slows In December

South Korea's producer price inflation slowed further in December, data from the Bank of Korea showed on Tuesday.

Producer prices advanced 1.0 percent year-on-year, slower than 1.5 percent seen in November.

Manufacturing producer prices rose 0.3 percent year-on-year, and those for the utility sector grew 1.8 percent. Producer prices for the farm and fisheries industry jumped 6.6 percent.

Services sector producer prices grew 1.3 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices decreased 0.5 percent, after November's 0.7 percent drop.

The producer price average inflation for 2018 was 2 percent.
