Italy Producer Price Inflation At 6-month Low

Italy's producer price inflation slowed for the second straight month in December to its lowest level in six months, data from the statistical office Istat showed on Tuesday.

Producer prices rose 4.1 percent year-on-year in December after a 4.5 percent increase in November, which was the lowest in six months.

Prices in the domestic market rose 5.2 percent annually in December after a 5.8 percent increase in the previous month.

Producer prices on the foreign market grew by 1.2 percent following a 1.4 percent increase in November.

Producer prices fell for a second straight month in December, down 0.5 percent after a 0.7 percent decline in the previous month. In October, producer prices rose 1.3 percent.

Domestic market prices dropped 0.6 percent, while foreign market prices remained stable in December compared to the previous month.
