Australia Final Demand Producer Price Rise 0.5% In Q4

Final demand producer prices were up 0.5 percent on quarter in the fourth quarter of 2018, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Friday - down from 0.8 percent in the three months prior.

On a yearly basis, final demand producer prices advanced 2.0 percent, slowing from 2.1 percent in Q3.

Domestic demand was up 0.4 percent on quarter and 1.8 percent on year, while imports were up 0.6 percent on quarter and 4.0 percent on year.

Intermediate demand producer prices were up 0.4 percent on quarter and 3.8 percent on year, while preliminary demand producer prices gained 0.4 percent on quarter and 4.3 percent on year.
