Report : Imperial Brands Chairman To Step Down

Imperial Brands PLC Chairman Mark Williamson is expected to confirm soon he will resign in the coming months, the Times of London reported.

The tobacco company has started succession planning, according to the Times. Mr. Williamson, 61, has been on Imperial's board since 2007.

At Imperial's annual general meeting last week, almost 18% of votes cast were against Mr. Williamson's re-election on concerns that he has taken on too many board positions, the Times reports.
