Slovakia Industrial Production Growth Slows For Fourth Month

Slovakia's industrial production growth slowed for a fourth straight month in December, figures from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed on Monday.

Industrial production rose a working-day adjusted 3.1 percent year-on-year in December following a 3.3 percent gain in November.

The pace of growth in industrial production has been slowing since hitting a peak of 8.1 percent in August.

Manufacturing output growth slowed to 4.1 percent from 5.5 percent. That was the smallest gain since March.

On a non-adjusted basis, industrial production rose 2.6 percent year-on-year, which was the weakest pace since March.

Seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased 0.9 percent month-on-month in December.

In 2018, industrial production grew an average 4.5 percent after a 3.4 percent increase in 2017.
