Brandi Carlile Wins Best Americana Album, Two Other Grammys


Brandi Carlile took home the Grammy Award in the Best Americana Album category this year.

She won the award for the album titled By The Way, I Forgive You.

"I'm speechless...I'm just so proud to be involved and be able to go in the studio with such incredible talent including the talent that is out there tonight," album producer Dave Cobb who went on stage with Carlile said. "Thank you guys for giving us this platform."

The Americana singer thanked her band, parents, agent and others.

Carlile also won Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance for "The Joke."

The three-time Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter and producer's music spans multiple genres.

Carlile's album bested fellow nominees Bettye La Vette's Things Have Changed, John Prine's The Tree Of Forgiveness, Lee Ann Womack's The Lonesome & The Gone and the Wood Brothers' One Drop Of Truth.
