Bitfury, Longenesis, MDW To Develop Medical Imaging Blockchain Platform

Full-service blockchain technology company Bitfury Group and Longenesis announced a partnership with radiology blockchain marketplace Medical Diagnostics Web or MDW to deliver next-Generation healthcare Blockchain.

Under the deal, Bitfury, Longenesis, a partnership between Bitfury Group and AI company Insilico Medicine, and MDW will create a next-generation platform. It will be used to maintain, share and secure medical imaging and diagnostics data.

Bitfury expects the deployment of the blockchain infrastructure, built on its Exonum private blockchain framework, to set new industry standards for healthcare blockchain implementation.

MDW is the first radiology blockchain platform that allows radiologists to contract with imaging facilities and securely share patient data and medical images such as X-rays, CT scans for interpretation.

MDW, Longenesis and Bitfury announced the partnership at the HiMSS 2019 Global Conference & Exhibition.

Valery Vavilov, CEO of Bitfury, said, "Blockchain technology can strengthen patient data security by providing a tamper-proof record of patient history while simultaneously providing an avenue for doctors to more easily share information.
