Pool Raises Guides FY19 Earnings In Line - Quick Facts

Pool Corp. (POOL) on Thursday initiated its earnings guidance for fiscal 2019. It now projects earnings for the year in a range of $6.05 to $6.35 per share, including an estimated $0.18 favorable impact from ASU 2016-09.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $6.21 per share for the year. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

"Our customers are reporting solid backlogs, and our team is focused on growth and value creation with our customers, while continuing to deliver solid operating leverage through capacity creation and execution," said Peter Arvan, President and CEO.

A new survey by the National Restaurant Association or NRA has painted a grim picture regarding the outlook for the U.S. restaurant industry. According to the NRA's Restaurant Industry Tracking survey for May 2020, most restaurant operators in the U.S. said they do not expect their business to return to normal during the next several months. Tyson Foods, Inc. announced that its 815 workers were found to be coronavirus or Covid-19 positive at the facility-wide testing in two Iowa plants in Council Bluffs and Storm Lake. Street protests, some peaceful and some violent, erupted across the nation after Floyd was mercilessly killed by Minnesota police.
