Emcor Group Q4 Results Beat View - Quick Facts

Emcor Group Inc. (EME) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income from continuing operations attributable to the company of $79.3 million or $1.38 per share, up from $53.3 million or $0.90 per share in the year-ago period.

The year-ago period's results include after-tax goodwill and identifiable intangible asset impairment charges, primarily related to the U.S. Industrial Services segment, partially offset by a tax benefit resulting from the revaluation of the Company's U.S. net deferred tax liabilities due to the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Excluding these items, adjusted net income from continuing operations for the year-ago period was $67.0 million or $1.13 per share.

Revenues for the quarter grew 10.8 percent to $2.23 billion from $2.01 billion in the year-ago period.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.35 per share for the latest quarter on revenues of $2.06 billion. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2019, Emcor expects full-year revenues to be between $8.3 billion and $8.4 billion, and earnings per share from continuing operations in a range of $4.70 to $5.40.

The Street expects earnings of $5.21 per share for the year on revenues of $8.21 billion.
