New Samsung Galaxy S10 Features Blockchain-based Private Keys

The Galaxy S10 smartphone that Samsung Electronics released as part of its latest Galaxy series, comes with a security system specifically designed to store digital currencies.

The South Korean manufacturing giant's proprietary Samsung Knox security system, which stores blockchain-based private keys, has been installed in the new phone.

"Galaxy S10 is built with defense-grade Samsung Knox, as well as a secure storage backed by hardware, which houses your private keys for blockchain-enabled mobile services," Samsung said in a press release announcing the launch of the new range of smartphones.

The Samsung Knox mobile security solution is meant for securing important data like passwords and private keys.

Samsung on Wednesday launched a new line of premium smartphones marking 10 years of Galaxy series.

The company claims to have made groundbreaking innovations in display, camera, and performance while introducing Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and the Galaxy S10e.

Galaxy S10 is made with Samsung's best screen yet, the world's first Dynamic AMOLED display.

"From brand new power sharing capabilities to AI-powered performance enhancement and Intelligent Wi-Fi, Galaxy S10 is Samsung's most intelligent device yet", the company claims.

The new Galaxy S10 devices will be available in stores and online from March 8 throughout select markets.
