Thomson Reuters Boosts Dividend; Initiates 2019, 2020 Outlook - Quick Facts

While reporting financial results for the fourth quarter and full-year 2018, Thomson Reuters Corp. (TRI,TRI.TO) on Tuesday initiated earnings and revenue growth guidance for fiscal 2019 and fiscal 2020.

For fiscal 2019, the company now projects earnings growth, before currency impact, in a range of 16% to 19% on revenue growth, before currency impact, in a range of 7% to 8.5% and organic revenue growth of 3% to 3.5%.

For fiscal 2020, the company expects earnings growth, before currency impact, of about 20% on revenue growth, before currency impact, in a range of 3.5% to 4.5%.

The Thomson Reuters Board of Directors also approved a $0.04 per share annualized increase in the dividend to $1.44 per common share. A quarterly dividend of $0.36 per share is payable on March 20, 2019 to common shareholders of record as of March 8, 2019.

Further, the company announced that it plans to repurchase up to an additional $250 million of its shares under its normal course issuer bid.
