Former Blink-182 vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge has executive-produced a new show for the History Channel about aliens.

The upcoming six-part series, "Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation," discusses the government's secret UFO program.

DeLonge is known for his interest in aliens and has founded a UFO research organization, To The Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The series will air beginning in May. The new 16-second promo features former military intelligence official Luis Elizondo, who has now joined To the Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences.

"With this show, the real conversation can finally begin," DeLonge said in a statement, according to Radio.com. "I'm thankful to History for giving the To The Stars Academy team of world-class scientists, engineers and intelligence experts the opportunity to tell the story in a comprehensive and compelling way."

He added, "I think everyone that watches the show will walk away with questions answered and a feeling of, 'Wow, I get it now.'"
