Taylor Swift Slams Haters In IHeartRadio Awards Acceptance Speech

At the sixth annual iHeartRadio Awards on Thursday, Taylor Swift, who received the Tour of the Year award for her Reputation stadium tour, thanked her fans and slammed her critics.

Swift, whose tour grossed a record $345.7 million, said in her acceptance speech that the tour's blockbuster numbers were a welcome response by fans to predictions by critics that she would be playing to "nearly empty stadiums."

Swift said the prediction of the critics that she would have a "flopped tour" really did wonders for her self-esteem.

"I've learned a lot," Swift said. "One of the things I've learned is that life is really unpredictable. People can make forecasts and they can make predictions… predictions and forecasts may not come true if there is an unforeseeable factor involved, and that unforeseeable factor in this case was my fans."

"I honestly owe everything in my life to you," she added. "You guys are the reason why this tour — the only reason why this tour — wasn't a massive failure, and why it ended up being the highest-selling tour in U.S. history."

Swift also won the award for best music video for "Delicate."
