Hilton is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Beatles legend John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono's Bed-In for Peace protest event with a new video series "Room 702."

The Bed-In for Peace protest event took place from March 25 to March 31, 1969, in Room 702 of the Hilton Amsterdam as a non-violent protest of the Vietnam war. The couple had also held another Bed-in for Peace protest at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal.

In conjunction with the 50th anniversary, Hilton has premiered a new YouTube video series called "Room 702" that profiles select employees who reflect the spirit of peace.

One of the profiles is about Serby Castro, a suite attendant at an Embassy Suites by Hilton in Orlando, where she champions a life-saving program that recycles leftover hotel soap and distributes it in regions without ready access to the basics of hygiene.

Another profile tells story of Ismaeil Dawod, a refugee who sought new opportunities in Germany and found a job at Hilton Frankfurt, where he is now engaged in an apprenticeship program.

"The stories of Serby and Ismaeil reflect the vision of Conrad Hilton, who created the first global hotel company with a vision to 'fill the Earth with the light and warmth of hospitality,'" Hilton said in a statement.
