Twenty One Pilots recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Dork magazine, in which they covered a host of topics, including the road to success and their brand-new album, Trench.

The pair first experienced a shock of success when their 2015 album, Blurryface, skyrocketed to popular and the single, "Stressed Out," bagged the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

In the wake of their growing popularity, the duo retreated into the studio and kept their "heads down and just kept grinding and playing every day," said vocalist Tyler Joseph.

"Why not dream big?" asks drummed Josh Dun "Why not have as many people hear us and our art as possible? It's fun. It's cool to continue to travel and play music and have that be our jobs."

"Everything we do is us still feeling like we need to prove ourselves, in a way," he added.

speaking about the overarching theme of their latest album, Joseph said, "We wrote it from the perspective of someone who felt like they needed to leave."

"There are a lot of times people can find themselves in a spot where they know they should leave where they're from, but they don't know where they should go, or how to get there," he added.

The duo is presently on the second leg of their Bandito World Tour, which is scheduled to come to a close at The Berlin Olympic Stadium on September 17.
