Rock icons Led Zeppelin have released the first installment of a video series in honor of the band's 50th anniversary.

The one-minute clip posted to YouTube highlights a recording of one of Led Zeppelin's very first live performances of their single, "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You," which features on their self-titled debut album.

The clip notes the 9-track album was produced by founding bandmember Jimmy Page and was recorded in September of 1968 at London's Olympic Studio over nearly 30 hours; 15 hours for recording, and 15 for mixing.

"The group had only been together for two-and-a-half weeks when we recorded it," reads a quote by Page.

The self-financed album cost a measly £1,782 to produce and was released in January of the following year.
