Blockchain healthcare platform Solve.Care is teaming up with HMS Technologies, Inc. to use blockchain technology to enhance federal health information technology (HIT) initiatives. HMS is a HIT provider for the U.S. government, and has been providing the services to the Government for the past fifteen years.

Solve.Care platform replaces duplicative systems and automates complex processes to reduce billions of dollars in annual costs. It will also help HMS to reduce fraud, waste and abuse in government programs.

The Solve.Care's platform is already adopted by commercial insurance companies, accountable care organizations, and now US federal government agencies, through HMS.

The inclusion of the blockchain healthcare platform will enable HMS to share secured health data via patient authorized access using unsecured Internet connectivity, improving care coordination while enhancing digital healthcare profiles and streamlining access to virtual healthcare services.

The Solve.Care platform uses blockchain technology as the underlying distributed ledger for coordinating care, benefits and payments between patient, doctor, pharmacy, laboratory, employer, insurer, and all other parties.

Employers can use the platform to administer benefits, reduce costs, and reward their employees. Physicians and hospitals can issue prescriptions, manage appointments, and coordinate with a specialist.
