J D Wetherspoon 13-week LFL Sales Up 7.6% - Quick Facts

J D Wetherspoon plc (JDW.L) said Wednesday that for the 13 weeks up to 28 April 2019, like-for-like sales increased by 7.6 percent and total sales increased by 8.4 percent.

For the year-to-date period, like-for-like sales increased by 6.8 percent and total sales increased by 7.6 percent.

Since the start of the financial year, J.D. Wetherspoon has opened three new pubs and closed seven. The company intends to open two further pubs in the current financial year.

Looking ahead, the Group said it continues to anticipate a trading outcome for the financial year in line with its previous expectations.
