MAXIMUS Narrows FY19 Outlook Range - Quick Facts

While reporting financial results for the second quarter, MAXIMUS, Inc. (MMS) on Thursday narrowed its previously provided guidance range for earnings and revenue for the full year 2019.

For fiscal 2019, the company narrowed its guidance for earnings to a range of $3.65 to $3.75 per share from its previous guidance range of $3.55 to $3.75 per share.

The company also now projects revenues in the range of $2.925 billion to $2.950 billion, narrower than the previous guidance between $2.925 billion and $3.0 billion

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $2.65 per share on revenues of $2.94 billion for the year. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

But it took about $10 billion write down on the value of its Precision Castparts aircraft parts unit due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Operating profit declined 10 percent.
