LafargeHolcim Q1 Recurring EBITDA, Sales Up; Confirms FY19 Outlook - Quick Facts

Cement giant LafargeHolcim (HCMLY.PK,HCMLF.PK) reported Wednesday that its first-quarter recurring EBITDA, pre-IFRS 16, increased 15.5 percent to 809 million Swiss francs from last year's 700 million francs. Like-for-like recurring EBITDA grew 20.6 percent.

Recurring EBITDA, post IFRS 16, was 920 million francs.

Net sales grew 2.2 percent to 5.96 billion francs from 5.83 billion francs last year. Like-for-like net sales grew 6.4 percent , while Recurring EBITDA grew over proportionally by 20.6 percent.3

Sales of cement edged up 0.1 percent on a reported basis and 4.6 percent on a like-for-like basis to 50.1 million tonnes.

The company noted that the growth was achieved in all four business segments supported by solid global market demand.

Based on the first-quarter trends and the successful execution of Strategy 2022, the company continues to expect fiscal 2019 net sales growth of 3 to 5 percent and recurring EBITDA growth of at least 5 percent, both on a like-for-like basis.
