Norsk Hydro: Court Lifts Production Embargo On Alunorte In Civil Case

Norsk Hydro (NHY,NHYDY.PK,NHYDY.PK) reported that a Federal Court in Belém, Brazil has lifted one of the two production embargos on Alunorte. Since the production embargo under the criminal case is still in effect, the company will continue to produce at 50% capacity at Alunorte. Alunorte expects an extension of the civil decision to the criminal case shortly.

The Court decided in favor of Alunorte in the civil case as the Ministério Público and Alunorte provided the federal court with a joint petition to lift both production embargos.
