Burberry Group FY Profit Increases

Burberry Group plc (BRBY.L) reported that its profit attributable to owners of the company for the 52 weeks ended 30 March 2019 increased to 339.3 million pounds or 81.7 pence per share from 293.5 million pounds or 68.4 pence per share last year.

Profit before tax increased by 7% to 441 million pounds from the prior year.

Adjusted earnings per were 82.1 pence, up 7% at CER basis.

Revenue was 2.72 billion pounds, down from 2.73 billion pounds last year.

The company confirmed its financial guidance for broadly stable revenue and adjusted operating margin at CER in fiscal year 2020 including cumulative cost savings of 120 million pounds.
