Bank of Montreal Q2 adjusted earnings of C$2.30 per share

Bank of Montreal (BMO.TO) revealed a profit for its second quarter that rose from the same period last year.

The company's earnings totaled C$1.50 billion, or C$2.26 per share. This compares with C$1.25 billion, or C$1.86 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Excluding items, Bank of Montreal reported adjusted earnings of C$1.52 billion or C$2.30 per share for the period.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 11.3% to C$6.21 billion from C$5.58 billion last year.
