Australia Trade Balance On Tap For Thursday

Australia will on Thursday release April trade data, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. The trade balance is expected to show a surplus of A$5.0 billion, up from A$4.949 billion in March.

New Zealand will see May results for the commodity price index from ANZ; in April, the index climbed 2.5 percent.

Singapore will see May results for its private sector PMI from Nikkei; in April, the index score was 53.3.

Finally, the markets in South Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia are closed on Thursday. South Korea is off for Memorial Day, while Malaysia and Indonesia are shuttered for Eid-ul-Fitr.
