Metallica's James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" before Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
"We love to support our local teams, so we're very excited to be a part of our hometown Golden State Warriors' pursuit of their fourth NBA championship in five years!" Metallica said in a statement on their website ahead of the game.
Metallica previously performed the national anthem before Game 5 of the Warriors' 2015 championship run.
Canadian country artist Tenille Arts performed "O Canada" ahead of Wednesday's game in honor of the Toronto Raptors.
Ne-Yo and Walk Off the Earth will perform the U.S. and Canadian national anthems, respectively, before Game 4 on Friday.
