Avocada Chunks Recalled For Listeria

Nature's Touch Frozen Foods Inc. have issued a recall of frozen avocado chunks due to a possible listeria contamination.

The company has recalled Signature Select Avocado Chunks, with a best before date of October 11, 2020. Nature's Touch issued the recall after a routine sampling program found a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes in one sample bag of the product.

The recall covers 12-ounce bags of Signature Select frozen avocado chunks with a "best before" date of October 11, 2020. The product was distributed across 15 states, including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Wyoming, Texas and Utah. The product was also available at following stores: Albertsons, Safeway, Safeway Community Markets, Carrs-Safeway, Eagle, Lucky, Pak N Save, Pavilions, Vons.

The company has asked customers to discard or return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
