Lyft Riders Can Choose Whatever Pronoun

Ride-sharing company Lyft has added a new feature to its App that allows passengers to specify their preferred pronouns, showing its support to LGBTQ+ community.

Lyft earlier offered two choices of pronouns, male and female, for the travelers. In comparison, the latest update gives an option of gender-neutral pronouns in their profile settings. They can now select from a list of pronouns including They/Them/Theirs, She/Her/Hers, He/Him/His, My pronoun isn't listed, and Prefer not to say.

The new addition, which comes in the LGBT Pride month of June, is part of the company's #TwoIsTooFew campaign that support transgender and non-binary communities.

In a Pride-themed publication, Lyft said that is working with National Center for Transgender Equality to help its drivers to change their name and gender designation on their driver's license.

Lyft, which actively support several pride events, also said it will provide resources for drivers. The company reportedly is financially supporting transgender drivers with $200 for name-change fees.
