New Zealand Rate Decision On Tap For Wednesday

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand will wrap up its monetary policy meeting on Wednesday and then announce its decision on interest rates, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

The RBNZ is widely expected to keep its benchmark lending rate unchanged at the record low 1.50 percent.

Singapore will release May figures for industrial production; in April, production was up 2.4 percent on month and 0.1 percent on year.

Malaysia will provide May numbers for consumer prices; in April, inflation was flat on month and up 0.2 percent on year.

The central bank in Thailand will conclude its monetary policy meeting and then announce its decision on interest rates. The central bank is widely expected to keep its benchmark lending rate steady at 1.75 percent.
