Kenny Chesney has revealed that his upcoming single, "Tip of My Tongue," was written with a little help from Ed Sheeran.

Veteran producer and songwriter Ross Copperman is the third writer on "Tip of My Tongue," which drops digitally on July 12.

"I've written so much with Ross; that's always easy. He brought Ed in, and he is such a great writer," Chesney said. "The way creativity works in creative people is so different, but it's always exciting."

"As a co-write with a new writer, it's one of the most fun sessions I've done in a long time," he added. "I get why people love working with him."

Sheeran has been popular among country music artists, having penned songs for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker and more.
