Rascal Flatts's Jay DeMarcus says the trio will continue to make music together "until one of us kicks the bucket."

In a recent interview with The Boot, DeMarcus said, "I think the three of us will be making music together, somehow, until one of us kicks the bucket."

"I don't think we'll ever be one of those bands that can't play and [doesn't] make music together somehow," DeMarcus added. "And it may be years from now, when we're just doing the Opry a few times a year and we're old men sitting on our porch, sitting around playing with guitars."

The trio have released more than 10 albums since their self-titled debut in 2000. Back to Us, released in 2017, was their last album.

"To be here this many years later and still be relevant, still creating music that people wanna hear ... it's phenomenal," Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney said. "I mean, [the band's current Summer Playlist Tour is] selling out everywhere. Things just couldn't be any better."

"You've just gotta give God all the glory for giving us a platform to still continue to make music and do what we love to do and be able to touch peoples' hearts," he added. "We'll be here as long as they'll have us."
