Blake Shelton's "God's Country" has topped Billboard's Country Airplay Chart, earning the country superstar his 26th No. 1 on the chart.

Billboard reports "God's Country" rose from second spot to reign the Country Airplay chart in its 15th week on the list dated July 13.

According to Nielsen Music, the song recorded an 8% increase to 40.2 million audience impressions in the week ending July 7.

On Hot Country Songs, which comprises airplay, streaming and sales data, "God's Country" ranks at No. 2 after leading for six weeks.

"I can't say enough about the power of this song," Shelton told Billboard. "The first time that I heard 'God's Country,' I knew I wanted to record it, after hearing just one verse and chorus."

He added, "I feel the song fills a gap not being served [musically] in country right now. I'm so glad to be a part of it and I'm thrilled the fans are finding the same connect with it that I do."

"God's Country" is Shelton's first Country Airplay No. 1 since "I'll Name the Dogs" on December 30, 2017. His first No. 1 song was his debut hit "Austin," in 2001.
