Dolly Parton To Appear In Hallmark Christmas Movie

Country music icon Dolly Parton is set to appear in a holiday film for the Hallmark Channel called Christmas at Dollywood.

The singer will be featured in the film alongside Danica McKellar, popular for "The Wonder Years" and other Hallmark movies.

According to EW.com, McKellar plays the role of Rachel Lewis, a Broadway producer and single mother who learns that investors have mismanaged the funds for her upcoming show into bankruptcy.

She then gets an opportunity to produce a show for the 20th anniversary of the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival at Dollywood and returns to her home of Tennessee.

Filming begins in Tennessee in August and the actress promises the project will include "a lot of really fun Dolly surprises."

Parton previously appeared in direct-to-television movies including, 2015's Coat of Many Colors and 2016's Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.
