RBA Minutes On Tap For Tuesday

The Reserve Bank of Australia will on Tuesday release the minutes from its monetary policy meeting on July 2, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

At the meeting, the RBA cut its benchmark lending rate to a record 1.00 percent from 1.25 percent to address slowing growth and rising unemployment.

New Zealand will provide Q2 numbers for consumer prices, with forecasts suggesting an increase of 0.6 percent on quarter and 1.7 percent on year. That's up from the 0.1 percent quarterly gain and the 1.5 percent yearly increase in the three months prior.

Finally, the markets in Thailand are closed on Tuesday for Asarnha Bucha Day and will re-open on Wednesday.
